Um. Wow.
Let me just say that I am a complete fan from now on. I was a little questionable about the group (EXCEPT for the song “In My Room” omgomgomg.) until now… really the only reason was because the lead singer (Johnyunwhateverhisnameis) looks like a Jonas Brother, Taemin had really bad hair, and in “Nuna Neomun Yeppeo” they were smiling like little creepers. BUT Taemin got a hair cut and this song is sooo catchy. I love it.

 

AND AND AND… Key is one sexy little boy.

 

But this song is very nice and the lyrics make me fall in love with the group all over again, “oh I know my love is like oxygen”, that kind of thing.

That’s all. Sorry for this short update and the NONE in the last few weeks. Popular people have very little time. HAHA.

Is it just me or is Michael Phelps God? I don’t know what has happened to me… I mean I’ve loved the kid ever since Sydney Olympics, but what the hell? Last night I was screaming so hard that I was shaking… this can’t be normal.

This Is Spartaaaa!!

So 8 Gold medals, huh? Well… he is pretty awesome. I am still trying to get it through my head that he eats like ten cows for dinner and still looks amazing. I am also trying to figure out why he swam his hardest stroke in the last race. I guess it was either to challenge himself or to show off how awesome he is compared to everyone else. Then again if he really wanted to show off he would do the relay all by himself and still beat everyone (because I believe he could do that).

This guy is a crazy swimming machine and I think he is the best Olympic SWIMMER. What is with all this talk that he is the best athlete ever? Seriously, I want to see him lift 430 pounds or jump a horse. Come on people, sports are freaking hard and he’s NOT superman. I know, it’s a shock but it’s so true. He’s awesome at swimming because he was built for swimming. A wingspan taller than he is, tremendous amounts of muscle, and two flippers at the end of his legs, yeah this guy can swim.

I’m just happy that he is happy. I’m also happy that his mom is happy too. It was so fun to watch her freak out everytime he won, it was great. Although, I think his coach would take home the gold in this category. It’s just great to see that everyone is happy I guess. Oh, and I love that the sport is getting a ton of attention too.

There is one downfall though. The one thing that disappoints me to such a high point about Michael Phelps. That is is that he’s a Michigan fan. I guess it’s true that nobody is perfect.

P.S.- do you ever wonder what he is listening to on his Ipod? I think it’s either some hardcore rapping or something along the lines of “Michael Phelps is God and one day everyone will bow down to him.” repeating over and over again. Whatever it is he looks like he’s ready to kick some serious ass in the pool.

Don’t worry, there’s another boy band.

That’s right, they just keep coming. I’m a little worried that there’s going to be some sort of ultimate clash of the boy bands in Korea. Maybe if they just lock everyone in a steel cage and let ‘em fight it out? (I know many people who would pay to see it… and personally, I think Super Junior would win, only because there are so many of them.) Anyway, the new new guys are… -drumroll please?-

There are plenty of other official pictures, but this one is my favorite. The basic idea of this group is that half of the group is good at ballads, and the other half at dancing. DNT stands for Dragon and Tiger, so the Dragon half of the team (Joonyong & Taeku)  dances away, and the Tiger half (Chiho & Byungkyu) sings. I’m pretty sure that they all sing and all dance, but they have a more central focus on one or the other. This group is out of Orange Entertainment, who has been acting pretty proud of these four, even though no one has ever heard of them. More about the name:  

The “D” initial of DNT is derived from the name of Dragon team’s leader, Joonyong. The “Yong” part of his name means “dragon”, giving the “D” of “dragon”. The “T” initial is from Tiger team’s leader, Chiho. The “Ho” part of his name starts the word “horangi”, which means “tiger”.

Not only have we had 200+ views in the last two days ( does that mean we’re going to start getting comments too? Please? <3) , but lovely, oh so wonder full Coriohh brought wonderful pictures such as the following to my attention.

Now that I have your attention (or perhaps I’ve lost it forever… I stared at this for a very long time), let’s talk hair cuts. Just recently I had some commentary on everyone’s new hair. But I was apparently wayyyy behind even then. Jae was only red for a week or so (figures), and everyone but Micky has new cut. I love them all, and soon you will too. SM ‘08 is about to become your favorite concert. Ever.Let’s go in the natural order of left to right again, and we’ll start with Junsu.

Yay!!! I love this. Not as much as I love his faux-hawk mind you, but he had had that for a while. This is cute, and contemporary, and his hair stayed dark. I’m happy  

Micky is next. Everyone has been ranting and raving about how gross his new hair cut was, and I was right there with them. I’m secretly in love with it now. Check this:

I have a good ten pictures in which he somehow rocks this funky bowl cut, but I’ll just give you one more. I could call this one my favorite, but I love them all.

100 hit SMASH!

In correlation with the new boy band SMASH debuting today in Korea, our blog has hit 100+ views for the first time, wahoo! Anyway, you’re probably more interested in the new kids right?

OOPS. HOTLINKED MY IMAGE. </fail>That’s right, the new Korean boy band boasts six members Sae Gae, Chun Woo, Han Bang, Jerry, Hiro and Naruro. I can’t tell you which one is which yet, or I’d be ranting about how in love I am with trumpet man. Haha.
They debuted today on M-Net Countdown, as the Hot Debut. They’ve already been knicknamed as the 2nd generation H.O.T. Sound familiar? They may not be too impressive, but apparently have all the right to steal the title from our favorite Dong Bang boys, seeing as Tony Ahn and his company TN Entertainment put these boys together. Here’s their first preformance:

Smash’s first mini-album is set to drop August 19th, along with their single Emergency’s MV. Too bad I already have my hands on the MV. No doubt the rest of their songs will leak soon, but its not that long of a wait, so hopefully people will keep their pants on. The MV had some merit to begin with, ’cause their dance moves were sweet, but then it got cheesy. You’ll see:

Other than the good looks(which is what every boy band has), I’m not very excited for these guys. Emergency sounds SuJu-ish to me, and I’m not a big fan of Super Junior. I want to hear something fun and new and weird from a new band, that’ll catch your attention, not the same old shout-y hard pop-rock crap that every tries out. Hopefully the mini will have something funky and a really good ballad. That’s all I ask of boybands, fun and good singing. I’m still waiting for Smash.

P.S. Six members always seems to be too many. I bet you $10 one of the members is kicked out, or leaves within the first year and a half. This is not wishful thinking, but observation of pattern.

THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE.
I love when DBSK wears shirts with English writing. Just because it’s always a train wreck (this has also taught me never to buy clothes I can’t read.) Most famous to Meghan and I are:
-Changmin’s “This shit here sells itself.”
Oh, how I wish I had a picture of this, but it was one you had to decipher through a video…(If I find it again, I’ll let you know)

There haven’t been too many instances where such epic screw ups have happened, but they’ve been so inexplicably worth it, we treasure them. There was also that girl who sat behind Junsu on the latest Hey, Hey, Hey. Did anyone see that? “Yes, I did blow with Kate Moss…”I’m actually pretty glad that Junsu’s cute little face blocked the rest, because I’m not sure I really wanted to know where that one was going.

This is not attractive. Well, Changmin does have a pose going on, but still, look at his arms! And Jaejoong. That’s just gross. I know these aren’t ridiculously recent, that’s the HB/KMF hair (I feel like a creeper right now, knowing that).  [EDIT: Yay I'm not a creeper, because I was apparently not in the know... I keep seeing these pictures posted at "DBSK's new hair! <3!!!!!" so I guess these are recent. Which makes them skinnier than I thought]  Just… ewwwwwwwwwwww. (Haha, yay for intelligent reporting)

Junsu, on the other hand, looks very healthy :] (I really do feel like some creepy stalker posting these pictures… I also fail because I can’t get this picture to center without centering the text above x.x)

In other news… I recently had a post where I spoke about Changmin playing the guitar. I not only found more conformation for that, but of Yunho picking up an instrument as well! The following excerpt is from a Fantasy Star Interview from the begining of this year:

So I’m just going to go. I almost never surf the internet for news, and felt so behind I just kinda … did? I found out so much crap, that maybe wasn’t enough for one post, and is most certainly too much for this one. Eventually I’ll find my own eloquence in balancing these posts. Until then, deal.

SM GLOBAL AUDITIONS!
More Importantly, auditions in the U.S. I wish I was going, but that requires talent. And a plane ticket. You can find more info here. Obviously if you’re going to audition, you have to have something preared. Dancers have… a dance. Singers… sing. Y’know that illogical kind of preperation, be ready for anything! My favorite though, is that the models have to do free-posing in front of the judges. Awkward. So insanely awkward. I want to be there so that I can point and laugh.

In a marketing (?) scheme, all the big names out of SM have made videos telling you about the global auditions and how you should go. GLOBAL audition advertisements, and they stress that they are in America and Canada. Almost the entire thing is in Korean. Aha.  I digress (which I do a lot). Super Junior Happy (Happy? Happy!) made one, but I’ll spare you the creepy pajammas and just give you linkage.

When is Se7en’s American Album coming out anyway?

Most of you have probably already seen this EPK Promo, but having just discovered it today, and getting to watch it in High Quality, I’ve gotten pretty excited. I’ve liked Se7en’s music for a while, but never really got into him. Until today. I’ve been repeating the 1:40 (or whatever) preveiw of ‘Girls’ for a week or so, but seeing this promo vid? Wow. That chair dance in the begining got me right away. And is anyone else strangely affected by the way he says “Introductory”? Its probably just me, but I’m used to that.
As far as his activity in the U.S. there hasn’t been too much. He was supposed to come out with a new album in July (the 7th to be eaxct). But that’s come and gone. So when is it coming? And when can I hit up one of his concerts?

My first sad attempt at writing a blog entry…

Hello! How would you few readers like it if I wrote about something other than DBSK? Great!
Anyway, I am here to give MY review about Warped Tour 2008 in Cincinnati. I am going to write about the bands I saw and the other things I saw as well. I will give you a heads up about this review… these are my thoughts typed out, nobody elses. These are the bands I will be talking about…

• The Sunstreak

Let’s start this out right. With The Academy Is…. This band here is my favorite band. In case you don’t know them here is a picture:

 Okay. So these guys are pretty good. Or at least I believe them to be. Then again I could be one completely blinded fangirl, but that happens. Tell me what you think about them. They have two albums now and both are so completely different from eachother… it’s awkward. But good. And they have a new album coming out the 19th!!! Ahh. It’s like a freaking promotion post here. Anyway, back to them on Warped Tour. This is the third or fourth time I’ve seen them and they are still pretty good. I have to admit that they aren’t the kind of band that goes crazy and keeps the fans pumped but I have to say that I’d act the exact same if I had to tour for my whole life too. They played some of their new songs from their new album (coming out the 19th in case you have forgotten, ) and I really love “About A Girl” it sounds great and it’s got an addicting chorus. Anyway, if this band sounds at all interesting check out their new CD. If it helps, like a billion girls think William Beckett is “like the hottest thing like ever… ever!”… he would be the lead singer. Although he DOES look like a little boy with his new haircut.

Let’s see… next is Cobra Starship! I have to say, this band is fucking amazing. They are so crazy that I freak out just thinking about them (I don’t think it helps that I got my picture with them, because now I freak out and brag about them… you should be jealous… see?). Here’s a picture of them:

… they even look a little crazy. So these guys are freaking amazing live. Not only are the girls pissing their pants because of Gabe Saporta (middle guy) is like soooo freaking hott but he also dances on stage. No… he dances. Like a chick mind you. But I guess he pulls it off. This band is really upbeat and danceclubby and they would defintely entertain you. No doubt about that. If I’m not convincing you then let me tell you this. They have a keytarist and my mom is in love with them too. Yeah so… fangs up! Go listen to them.
